Are there any good free music mixing programs?

I would like a program that lets me omit parts of a song smoothly, combine 2 songs into one, and cut long songs into several shorter tracks.

Are there any good free programs that do that? If there isn't, what's a good program to use?

goldwave is a good, free program for wat u stated in the question. but u can get the top of the line programs by downloading torrent (kinda like limewire but for programs and movies and much more that limewire doesnt have) u can download programs that run like tousands of dollars. but 4 wat u need it 4 goldwave is money in the bank.
