  1. There are several good Chinese restaurants in the Portland

area. I'm not familiar with the term, "indo-Chinese". I have a

preference to eat at the Beaverton location of the Golden

Crown. And it is both traditional, as well as serving the Schechwan style of spicey food. In Chinatown, you may find

exactly what you are looking for. They also or did have a

Chinese grocery store, where you could buy the preferred

    items used in Chinese cooking.

I grew up on food served at the Hung Far Low, in China-

town. But I haven't eaten there since I was very young. It's too

out of the way. We tend to drive up to Hazel Dell, Washington

when we want Chinese buffet. They have a wonderful restaur-

ant that never advertises, except by word of mouth. It's down

from the Goodwill Industries store, on the same side of 78th

street. They have just about anything imaginable on their

buffet line. And you can return and get a refill for more. It's

best to arrive early and not have to wait in line. This place

always has return customers and they keep them coming

    back for more.
