I'm thinking about dropping out of high school because there is only one high school in my city and there's 5,000 kids and I can't stand it.It way to big for me since I started going there I've become sick cause of my anxiety and I've dropped a lot of weight. so I'm wondering if I drop out can I find any good jobs.I really don't wanna drop out but I feel like I have no other choice.

  1. Getting a job in general is hard. Not graduating will make it harder. By not graduating it shows that you are possibly not hireable. Why because people will think that you are stupid and lazy. Keep in mind that school is for you. Kids always forget this or do not fully grasp the concept. This is your chance to finish school. Later when you get tired of your meaningless 9 to 5 job and can not make enough money to do anything fun. You will wish to god that you had finished school or maybe even gone on to college. Maybe you are not happy. That is understandable. But keep in mind happiness is found within. And by not trying is almost a gaurantee for unhappiness.

  2. Burger King....  Don't drop out!  Can you talk to anyone in the school about just getting your GED at night?  You can also get a GED through community college!

And to above- you can not be a Union plumber or welder without a GED- and if your not union your not making any money!

  3. Honestly just don't drop out talk to your counsler about it and the principal and see what they can do....

But if you do this that would probably be the worst decision of your entire life

You will be looked down upon by society and it will be a vicious cycle (I can't get a job because I have no education i have no education because I can't afford it.. {if you wait to long and will have to pay to get the GED} and no money b/c i have no job no money) you see how society works don't do it.. just don't

Also what you need is to find friends who will support you and if u have any now then obviously they aren't doing a good  job of doing so

  4. How far away is the school nearest your city? You might consider that one if you can get there. It would cost you something in tuition, though. But you probably already know that there is no such thing as a good job for a high school dropout. Usually employers look at dropouts as people who can't manage problems or pressures, and there are lots of those at any kind of job. You'll need to find some friends at your school, maybe in sports or clubs that interest you. Put yourself out to be friendly and kind to others who sit near you in your classes. Talk to your teachers, ask questions in class, get yourself interested in what is going on in school besides the classes. Look for opportunities to join in and make friends. You'll find some if you're looking. And life will get better with friends.

  5. no this is a choce that you will reget later in life,  there are no good jobs at all for high school drop outs.   U see on tv the few that made it by becoming actor or comedians like jim carrey.  But lets get real, the only jobs you can get are working as cashiers or waitress, or strippers.  and those are they typesof jobs that you can't support a family on.

Finish school and you will be glad you did.  go to college and be even better off.  I didnt have a good time in highschool but im out of college and i have a pretty good job.  which i could never get as a drop out.

  6. There are some good vocational jobs (plumbing, welding, factory work), but honestly you would be tons better off if you at least got your GED in terms of stability in this economy.  If your grades are good, you may even be able to finish by taking courses at a small community college.

    Best of luck.
