  1. according to the yellow pages there are 3 in Saarbrücken

  2. I found reviews for these two online - they are in Kaiserslautern which is about 8 miles from Landstuhl:

    CANTINA MEXICANA

    Kaiserslautern-Einsiedlerhof

Kaiserstrasse 117, Tel. (0631) 99328.  Cantina Mexicana is a family-friendly, stateside-style Mexican restaurant and their Mexican fare is excellent and so is their service.  Cost: Reasonable (Cantina Mexicana accepts US dollars at a favorable exchange rate).  Directions:  From Vogelweh go west in the direction of Landstuhl on B-40 (Kaisersstrasse) to KL-Einsiedlerhof.  Opposite the Warrior Preparation Center (WPC) building on B-40, the Cantina Mexicana is on the south side of the highway.  5/01  (***)

    HACIENDA MEXICAN RESTAURANT

    Kaiserslautern-Einsiedlerhof

Weilerbacher Strasse 110 (just a short distance from the KL-Einsiedlerhof exit on A-6), Tel. (0631) 56986.  Hours:  Monday-Friday 1100-1400, 1700-2300; Saturday-Sunday 1200-2300.  Good Mexican food.  Cost: Above average for Mexican food.  Directions:  From A-6, exit at KL-Einsiedlerhof and go in the direction of Einsiedlerhof, restaurant is on the right (second floor).  From Ramstein AB, exit the base via the east gate, go over the A-6 autobahn in the direction of Einsiedlerhof, restaurant is on the right.  5/01  (***)

  3. Well, I've never been in Landstuhl, so you'll have to go with the advice of the other respondents.  But your question does remind me of a Mexican-American comedian in the 1990s who mentioned that he went to Europe with Mexican grandparents who insisted on eating Mexican food every meal.  He ended the story with: "Do you know how hard it is to find a Mexican restaurant in western Europe?"  You are free to eat whatever food you want, but do take the opportunity to try some of the German food.  Some ppl go to Europe only once or twice in their lives, so it's really a good opportunity to try something different.  Though German food is different from American food/Tex Mex/Mexican food, Germans are still westerners and I am sure that you'll enjoy some of the German food (bread, cheese, sausage, chocolate candy, cakes, ice cream, etc.).

  4. There is one that I've been too in Kaiserslautern, close to Vogelweh. I think it's called The Canteen. It is American owned I think and I thought it was pretty good.

  5. One of the answers has already given you the info you need about Mexican Restaurants in the Landstuhl area, or as the Americans living there say; K-Town. That is short for Kaiserslautern. And please realize that you are In Germany so it will not taste like food in America.

For the person saying Germans do not like hot food??? They should visit a larger city in Germany and try one of the many Indian, Thai, Korean, Spanish, yes even Mexican restaurants where you can get Very hot and spicy food.
