I am thinking of going for a picnic and barbecue tomorrow and im wondering where is best to go with 2 children aged 5. I live in the west of Scotland and close to balmaha and loch lomond. What about Largs. I need an area which is nice, near the loch and also has a kids play area, this is very important as dont want the children to get bored easily. I would like to sit on the grass with our barbecue beside a play park and also be able to look out to the loch/shore. Any suggestions.

  1. You should totally check out Muirshiel (sorry for spelling if it's wrong) Country Park - it has an amazing leisurely walk up to "Windy Hill" which I loved as a kid and it's fab for picnics.

    Enjoy ur day
