the others went the american revolution route, I prefer revolution in general so I would say V for Vendetta, a very nice film. Amazing camera and it really makes you think.

I wouldn't know.  It's been my experience that a lot of the stories movies use are to help people take concepts that they wouldn't otherwise get.  It's like spoon-feeding information to the uncreative.

Surprisingly, Hollywood hasn't tried to make a good one yet. The Patriot was WAY too commercialized, and Revolution was too bleak.

The Patriot, although the dates are not accurate the movie captures the emotion and ferocity of the American revolutionary war.
