  1. If you think you need glasses, as your school nurse to do a screening (it's free :))  If she says your eyesight is poor, then you need to go to an eye doctor to get a prescription.

If you think you have a learning disability, you should have your parents request IN WRITING that your school assess your abilities.  Once your parents have put the request in writing, the school is legally required to give you the required assessment.

  2. For learning disabilities, if you are age 3-21 in the USA, ask at your school.  If you are in any community college or university with federal funding, also ask at your school.  Otherwise, you can go to a private Psychologist, Educational Psychologist, or tutoring agency, to get tested.

If you think you need glasses, go to an opthalmologist, an optometrist, a regular physician, a county clinic, or your school nurse, to have your vision checked.

  3. An eye Dr can tell ya if ya need eye glasses or not after an exam. As for testing for learning disabilities you need to ask teh school district to evlauate you and if you are a minor have your parents request the evaluation in writing.
