You are correct.  Most of the books are for coaches.  

I did a search on amazon.com for volleyball books.  It was a weird collection of things.  Some books and other items.  It did contain a list put together by a amazon user.  It is about 1/3 coaching books and 2/3 other books.  Try this link.  If it does not work, please let me know.

I have not read any of the books.  I can not recommend any books, but the best known names on the list are Mary Wise, the women's coach of Florida and Al Scates, the men's coach of UCLA.  (He only has 19 national championships.)  Good luck.

Im not sure if there are any volleyball books out there for players. But, when i was in 7th grade my coach was new and was reading a volleyball how to book. If nothing else there are pleanty of websites. I go to websites to get new drills for me to practice at home.
