My friend is moving into his own apt but his mom takes care of her mom and has nowhere else to go. She hates it where she has to be because a brother of hers doesn't really want her there. My friend doesn't want his mom moving in with him so I wanted to know if there are any government assistance programs that can help her out. I mean she doesn't even have a job (poor woman). Her job is taking care of her mom. He doesn't want to be mean but he wants a private life. He is so messed up and doesn't know what to do. Anything would help.

  1. There are several agencies that can assist her, but she would have to have SOME type of income.

  2. The caretaker can try to apply for assistance (both could), possibily get a little more money in the house to help care for the elderly woman. Between the both of them, the elderly woman and her daughter, if they can get assistance, they may be able to find better suited housing.

Contact your local welfare program, they can lead you in the right direction.

    good luck.
