  1. I think you're thinking about eliminating wheat and gluten, not all grains?  Right?

Instead of wheat you can have rice and potatoes and the many products from them, pastas, breads, everything.  Health food stores have whole sections of gluten free foods.

  2. people following the oprah cleanse?

Other than that, I've never met one. Some people try to eat only wholegrains or a small amount of grains when trying to lose weight though.

  3. Sweetie, try different grains, many people have trouble with wheat. Going grain free isn't a good idea even for a meat eater, let alone a vegan.

  4. I've never heard of a grain free vegan, since that would eliminate a huge source of nutrients and energy from their already limited diet.

If you weren't a vegan, I'd say go for some active culture yogurt, since it contains live bacteria which aid in the digestion of food.

But other than that, I'm really at a loss.

As for your second question, I like meat. Its a personal thing, I enjoy it. But I fully respect your choices, and I admire your diligence. I can safely say that I do not have the willpower to do what you do.

  5. I'm not a grain free vegan, but I think it sounds like a good way to go.  All you really need are vegetables, fruit, nuts, sees, beans and legumes and roots to survive.  Grains are unnecessary.
