  1. Dear Friend,

Just read the label on things before you eat/drink them.  Most of the ingredients the average person has no clue what they are, not to mention can't pronounce them.  If you don't know what's in it... then it probably isn't good.

Unfortunately, I have just described EVERYTHING that we consume.  And then we wonder... why, there is so much cancer these days?  hmmmm

Oh, and by the way, even when it says it is all natural, there are STILL chemicals involved.  Nothing is natural anymore.  Everything has been... "tainted" even the air we breathe and the water we drink.  Man is determined to kill himself...for a price; GREED!

  2. Most energy drinks have way to much caffeine and sugar. Twice as much as soda sometimes. I wouldn't drink them. No one needs that much energy. LoL..Orange juice gives you way more energy and it's good for you. =)

  3. Yes. Most are loaded with caffine and sugar, which gives you energy, but usually makes you crash later in the day.

They're also very bad for your heart. They could make it beat way to fast.

If you look on the back of most energy drinks there is a health warning of how many is safe to drink. Most are 2-3.

I've heard Red Bull is especially bad. Apparently, the guy who invented it went to a part of Africa and the people there were malnourished and needed something to help them work. So they drank what we know as Red Bull to keep their body going on little food. The guy decided to make it and sell it in the United States and call it Red Bull.

  4. It depends on what's in them that's giving you "energy" (caffiene or some other stimulant), and if your body can handle that stimulant well...a lot of them are also high in calories, so that could be an issue for some people who rely on them a lot.

Look at the ingredients of your chosen beverage, and then do some research on it. You should be able to find information online related to any possible harmful side effects of the contents.

The best/safesty way to have good energy is to eat a well balanced diet, exercise regularly, and get plenty of rest. Then drinks to give you temporary energy shouldn't be needed. ☺

  5. It depends on what is in them.

Most have high amounts of sugar and caffeine. This really makes them nothing more than suped up sodas. Too much caffeine is not good for you. I think Newsweek had a big article on this last April. It covered the caffeine overdose of most Americans from soda, coffee, tea, and energy drinks.

Some of the other ingredients have controversy too. Like taurine. Have you seen the advertisement on TV for 5 Hour Energy? I think they mention another ingredient too but I can't think of it at the moment. It starts with a G though. And no it is not Ginseng. That is actually good for you. So is Ginko Biloba.

The one I drink all of the time is a healthy energy drink. They were out for years before 5 hour energy and Stacker's 6 hour power. They have 0 sugar, 0 carbs and 8 calories. XS Energy. They also have 10 flavors to choose from and 3 of them have caffeine free versions as well. The energy comes from B vitamins not sugar and excess caffeine.

  6. uhhmm hello? try turning it around and look at the nutrtion facts then tell me its not harmful. Stay away from them seriously if your trying to be healthy stay away but if you dont care go for it .

  7. they are so full of sugar, that diabetes and other sugar related problems are a huge risk, in addition to high blood pressure and stroke.

  8. yes there are harmful toxic things in most energy drinks.....so be careful don't  drink them everyday.
