Are there any herbal treatments for GAD?

My mom doesn't want me on pills. I have done everything like exercising, praying, meditating, watching crappy DVDs, I have gone like 4 days without even thinking about much anything but I still had that worry feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Are there any herbal treatments for this?

  1. You are praying, meditating, etc but you still had the worry feeling. What are you doing, you must do with yours hearth. Raise your inner energy. You worried about everything, but actually what are you worried about is  never reach into your face. Do meditating is the best way, but do it with your master. Don't try this alone.

  3. There are several natural relaxants. Lavender and sandalwood will help you relax. Smells have a direct impact on your emotional state because smells don't go directly to your higher brain functions but end up in your limbic system which controls hunger, s*x drive and mood. So smells can be used to relax, use an oil burner or a buy scented candles.

    Foods that will help are those high in Omega 3 fatty acids. Lack of these will impair brain functions, so eat lots of hazel nuts and fish (there are some other foods that help too).

    But GAD is often a result of a real problem and that is what you should be trying to address the problems in your life. Maybe it is your parents controlling you life and not letting you take pills to deal with a problem. They can help, and if you get too anxious or start contemplating suicide, or suffer from depression, consider taking medicine as part of the solution.
