  1. I learned of poppy seeds. This has had a significant effect on lifestlye and health. The seeds of the opium plant are specifically exempted from any controls, and have used this legal source of opioids to  seeming benefit. started by grinding the seeds and making a tea from this soupy starchy oily mess. Graduating to a water and lime juice extraction that works much better by not grinding the seeds. find the effects to be somewhat heavy, slightly uncomfortable at first, with a stimulant edge. Doses over 1 pound usually just bring on dysphoric effects, and have been using around a cup's worth spread over 3 doses in a day. have consumed the seeds for over a year straight, and during that time completeley quit using IV drugs. have quit drinking and smoking cigarettes also. feel that the poppy seeds support my ability to walk away from the majority of these substances in that they leave content with minor analgesic/euphoric effects.

  2. Marijuana.

If you are high, you probably will feel less need to get drunk. It eases pain, calms you down, relieves mounds of stress, and can help you mellow out. If you use alcohol to relieve symptoms like those, Marijuana could help.

Marijuana is much safer, im sure you know that. It is not considered addictive or toxic.

I smoke daily, and i dont see why i would drink. If im high i have no worries, fears or stress so drinking would probably just make me all messed up opposed to medicated.

If you live in one of the 12 states that allow medical marijuana, look into getting a medical card so that you can legally smoke.

Just an option and my opinion

Feel free to email me with questions or if you would like to know more.

  3. There are a plethera of herbs that will aid in the process of removing alcohol from your diet, but it is truly best to see a doctor (preferably a naturopathic doctor) about this.  The reason I am hesitant to say one herb or the other is because every addiction is different and every person is different.  When trying different herbs it is wise to do so under a physicians watchful eye, even though most herbs will not harm you in the doses they are given.  Good luck and if you need any help finding naturopathic physicians I attend a naturopathic medical school and could definitely help you out.  Good luck. :)
