  1. As has been indicated the answer is yes. But if you are are going to Paris as a tourist and simply looking for a way to do it on the cheap this is a false economy.

    You'll eat up both time and money on getting into central Paris that is better spent being a tourist. You'll isolate yourself from the  life of the city.

    Nighttime transportation is restricted to a few night-buses after midnight and this is in a town where nothing gets going until 10 PM and people don't even eat dinner until 8 PM.

    Moreover, nothing you find in the suburbs will likely be much cheaper than someplace like the Hotel Tiquetonne at 6 rue Tiquetonne where a single room costs 30 euros a night.

    And if you're hoping to get a big thumping English breakfast with bacon, black pudding, beans, egg and toast for breakfast in a French B&B then forget it. That's not how they eat and not what they serve. You'll get a roll and some coffee and maybe some yoghurt.

  2. Here, you can try this site.

  3. Oui.

  4. I'd be amazed if there weren't!

  5. Click on this website--->  http://paris.angloinfo.com/af/317/paris-...

    Scroll down to the link "2BInParis" and click.

    Some of these B&B's are in the suburbs and some are close in. Great prices on some of these!!!! Have a good trip!!!!

  6. Yes, they are called Chambres d'Hôte or Gites... Go to a Paris tourist information page, look for accomodations and insert these words, you should find a listing....

  7. Yes there are, although there are fewer than in other areas. There are even some in Paris itself. Note that this is not a cheap option, so don't expect it to be less than a hotel, as it probably will be more expensive than cheaper hotels (this is somewhat different to what you would find in most of the country) - hosts correctly assume that people seeking this type of accommodation are doing so because they want something more interesting/personal. Quality will therefore probably be good.

    As regards breakfast, I disagree with the answer above - I have stayed at dozens of bed and breakfasts all over France, including the Paris suburbs, and never been able to finish all that was on offer for breakfast (usually a choice of bread is provided which means that there's far more than you would need). Obviously you will not get a full english breakfast, but you won't go hungry.

    Note also that some suburbs are on the metro, and therefore as good for transport as anywhere else in Paris - last trains are generally between midnight and 1, depending on your line/station.

    Search on the web for chambre d'hote websites - there are several competing networks.
