I have never been there, but whenever I need to know about a destination, the first place I go is www.tripadvisor.com. In fact, I just went there, entered Istanbul, Turkey and when the second page comes up, on the far left side, you'll see hotels right at the top of the column. Or you could go to their forums and you'll probably receive responses from people who actually live there and could be much more helpful. Good luck.

Best place to look for hotels in Istanbul is one of the many hotel booking engines out there.

A quick search for "Istanbul hotels" got me:

Atlaschoice:

Expedia:

and

Atlaschoice and Expedia look easy, you can put in how many people and it'll show you only those you need.
