Are there any hypo allergenic dogs?

my mother is allergic to most dogs with long hair, but we want a dog. So the only dogs we could posibly have are Greyhounds.they dont have much hair,but never wanted a greyhound. Are there any hypo allergenic dogs?

There is no such thing as a hypo allergenic dog. All dogs shed. Don't believe people that tell you that there is a hypo allergenic dog

Goldendoodles and poodles are hypo-allergenic.

I thought poodles were good for people who have hair allergies.

depends on the allergy.  most poodles and bichons are the most popular for this.  but really should go around to the shelter and try different dogs.  my niece was allergic to animals, but my chow and keeshound never bothered her.

There are hypoallergenic dogs.  The mixed, or "designer" breeds do not shed, no dander or anything to cause allergies in people.  I have a Yorkie-Poodle mix and he such a great dog.  Good luck on getting a dog!

You can be allergic to many things on a dog.  Fur, dander, saliva-- so there is no 100% allergy free dog.  If you knew what your Mothers trigger was, you may be able to find a dog.

yeah, I have a chocalate havanese (the cutest thing!) and she has hair not fur. my sister is allergic to dog fur and she doesn't get affected at all by our puppy. and my puppy's a great dog, playful, curious, affectionate and GREAT with kids.

I have a Bichon Frise.  My brother who is allergic to dogs doesn't have a problem when he visits.
