Are there any jelly sweets suitable for vegetarians to buy in the shops?

they say what type of gelatin is in them, they will say if it is bovine or animal gelatin

so look on the back of the packet

I know of a brand that sells gelatin-free candy. It's called the Jelly Bean Factory and they have lots of different products and flavors. They are based in Ireland, but they have stockists in the USA through which you can by them. You can also buy through their website below.

Yes!! Jelly tots!!! [they are even suitable for vegans!] I am vegetarian and will not eat anything which contains any animal product... jelly tots are vegetarian society approved :-) x

Lots in the Asian stores as they do not have a cattle industry in Asian, they use things such as agar (china), and konyaku (japan), and acorn powder (korea).

halal haribo is not always vegetarian

and my latest obsession is Marks and Spencers  fruit jelly pots not really a sweet but lovely.

anyway, haribo freaky fish and giant strawberries and  jelly tots are all veggie. jelly tots are vegan too

Hey.

There's quite a few alternatives in the shops.

Holland and Barrett to vegetarian gummy bears, they should be in your local store.

Fodder do loads of gummy sweets that are suitable for vegetarians/vegans.

Julian graves do veggie fruit jelly's and loads more sweets.

Sainsburys do an own brand jelly beans, fruit jelly's, american hard gums etc.

In co op you can get co op brand vegetarian/vegan fruit jelly's, american hard gums, jelly beans and they have a good other range of nice veggie sweets to.
