I live in DuPage County and I'm looking for a job. I checked for opportunities on www.snagajob.com but all the openings require potential employees to be at least 16.

  1. no. you are doomed. you'll be poor forever

  2. Let your neighbors know you're trying to earn money and are willing to Mow their lawns, babysit, do odd jobs, run errands...  Put an ad up at your local grocery store or ask your Parents to help you get started.  Let your neighbors see you being responsible and doing the lawn for your family so they can see you do a good job.  Contact your school or Parents association and tell them you would like to earn money tutoring younger students - I would have loved to have a teen help my kid memorize his spelling vocabulary when he was in grammar school.  Right now I wish I knew a neighborhood teen that could help me with light housework, petcare and odd jobs.  You just need to get the word out and show that you're willing to work and are trustworthy.
