At the rate that they enter America illegally it would lead one to believe that there are none.

  1. Do you know how much they make here like $5 a day. Mcdonalds pays 30 cents an hour! can you believe that? people here have to be in poverty because all the companies that make money belong to the government.

  2. There are jobs in Mexico, not enough but there are jobs, now  a lot of people is crossin  the border seeking for a better wage,

Minimum wage is very low close to 6 usd a day ( we do´nt pay by the hour)...

People who earn that kind of money  most of them have a very low education, less than 6 grades....people with more education has better salaries, the more education the smaller the gap between salaries about the same kind of job in the US.....

About the 12 shifts is a big lie, formal jobs are regulated by the 123 am. in the Mexican Constitution. and it says that you can work for a 8 hr shift after that your boss will need to pay you by the hour and double your salary.

A labor suit is a major pain for any boss in Mexico, since the law protects the worker big time..

Mexican labor law has been an obstacle for a lot of foreign companies that try to invest in Mexico since they find it tough,

Informal Mexico is another story, in agriculture often you see that 12hr shift for the people who is picking the crops and bearly make 6 dlls a day......this are the ones that are crossing the border, they end up working the same 12 hrs shift picking oranges, tomatoes etc,  but earning minimum American wage.

There is two things to do and are not very simple: educate people up to 12 grades at least, and supply enough jobs for the population in order for salaries to grow.

  3. There are jobs, but they pay ridiculously low wages. Consider that the minimum wage per hour in the USA is very nearly equal to what a 10 to 12 hour work day pays in Mexico. Now, consider what the strain of the price of gas has meant to your budget. Now transfer that kind of strain to your food budget. The Mexican people have felt a rise in the price of their basic needs that is even greater (relatively) than what we have seen at the gas pump. We can get a smaller car, ride a bus, or heaven forbid walk, they cannot stop eating! Ask yourself how far you would go to keep your family from starving out on the streets? Would you leave them there to go to a foreign country where you don't know the language and are shunned to clean up their dirty plates, and grow their food, and mow their immaculate lawns? I am not saying that there are not bad Mexican folk coming here to start trouble and suck up resources, but they are truly the exception and they should be dealt with harshly. But there are good folk too. If you ever got to know the back story of some of them rather than cast the whole lot of them as degenerates you might find many similarities between you and them, you might even find a little respect for some of them in there too.

  4. The Minimum wage in Mexico is close to $6.00 a day.

Most people who head to the U.S are seeking a better standard of living and anyone I know that left had work in Mexico and saved their money for Los coyotes and was $2000.00 is now twice that due to all the pressure state side.

Like a desk clerk in have known since 1985 and had only seen him twice since then. I ran in to him in Acapulco and asked him what he was doing these days.  He said looking for work.  I said and there in None?  He said sure but they only want to pay 50 pesos and how much is a chicken?

Most of the people I have seen in My 27 years of travelling in Mexico that have their hand out have been very old or handicapped.

Its the opposite here in Canada

.A couple that are both working at the minimum wage and take home @120.00 pesos a day can buy all the food they need and they would not waste it on booze and drugs and in fact could possibly bank a thousand U.S Dollars a year

There are accommodations starting at $300.00 pesos a month.

I am a resident in Canada by pure luck as my parents came here when I was four from the U.K

No offense to my Mexican friends but your Government need to do more to educate everyone.

This guy Carlos Slim must think he can take it to La Tumba with him.

s****.could build some schools or take a leeso from Bill Gates and Oprah Winfrey

  5. People from Mexico enter the USA illegally to make a better life for themselves and their family because the wage rates are so low in Mexico.
