Are there any killer bugs in North Carolina?

iv been told about the large sized bugs that reside in north carolina. so considering im about to move there is there anything i should know about these bugs. are any of them dangerous/posoinous or are they just big and scary.

naw, we have black widows and brown recluse spiders but nothing really bad.

I've lived in NC for 9 years and have seen a black widow once...

I understand your worries because I had the same ones before I moved here but it really is a nice place and very safe critter-wise.  :-D
