Single after many years, and miss companionship; however, don't know if I'm up for it. What's out there?

Most people nowadays meet their matches on Online Dating Sites. Nobody does the bar scene anymore, its a waste of time. With dating sites you can be honest, upfront, say what you are looking for, etc.

I can only speak for my Mom .. we are very close and I live about 10 minutes from her. She said it isn't worth it. The only ones left out there that are single are single for a reason. Of course I tried reminding her that she is single and not 'damaged', but she wouldn't listen.

I would love to see her with someone for the companionship and having someone to see movies with and dinners. I offered to set her up and I cannot put in here what she said to me! ;-)

Well i have to say that i have not had any luck.  I still have kids in the house and that is a barrier.  I just get involved in things i like to do and meet people from there.  the bad thing is that i live in a small town so there are not to may prospects. i think i need to move to a bigger place.  good luck
