My friends and I play Axis and Allies and it always seems really crowded. Is there anyone who sells a larger board to play on?

  1. No.  I thought about making my own big board from scratch.  It would take a lot of work to do it justice though.

You can use markers that correspond to an off area card.  You put your units on the card and put the card on the country.

  2. Off topic - Check out their website. I didnt know what it was so I had to look it up, I wanna play Las Vegas Showdown.

  3. Wouldn't it be great to play on a 5 foot by 8 foot board that requires long handled "rakes" to move and place pieces!

Until that happens, reducing the crowded masses of pieces on the existing board could be an alternative to finding a bigger board.

I must admit, I like the bigger board idea.  All those pieces look so d**n cool on the board, don't they!

I'm sure you use the white and red chips provided in the game.  They help reduce the footprint of the pieces in each territory.  You place them under a piece to signify 1 additional piece for white and 5 additional pieces for red.

Here's an idea;  Add colored chips, say green and blue, and have them count as 3 and 10 pieces.  Having several chips of these values would greatly decrease your footprint and possibly make your games more manageable.

Here's another idea;  Paint that old ping-pong table you have to make a big Axis and Allies board!  Then tell me where you live so I can bring all my pieces and we'll have a blast!
