Are there any legal regualtions on how long break and lunch times should be in British schools?

Yes I am sure there must be, but although I am a teacher I am not sure!  I would say that you should have a minimum 15 minute break after two hours in the morning and at least 40 minutes for lunch.  Again, there should be another break in the afternoon. How does that compare with your understanding/experience?

Incidentally, psychologists have found that the maximum time for concentration when studying is 40 minutes and you should take a five minute break after that.
