It&#039;s a scam.  There&#039;s no such thing as a lottery sponsored by Windows, Yahoo, OR Microsoft.

The idea behind the scam is for the scammers to collect enough of your personal information that they can steal your identity OR to get you pay an &quot;advance fee&quot; to release your so-called winnings.  Either way, once the scammers have your info and/or your dough, you won&#039;t get any prize and you&#039;ll never hear from them again (unless they decide you might fall for another scam).

&quot;Delete it and forget it&quot; is the best policy for messages like those.  Don&#039;t reply, don&#039;t give them any information, and certainly don&#039;t send them any money!
