At the beach something that your eyes wont believe the beauty. Then Carnaval Comes.. Ohh Boy.. Everyone knows carnaval... after that we have "Sexta feira Santa" Holly Friday.. All city's they join together on the streets walking like a marathon and praising God. Then we have easter too.. Great time for family as well... we actually hide CHOCOLATE EGG SIZE OF A FOOTBALL BALL All over the house.. for the kids and we have prizes and everything.. there is alot of things that they do over there that is too much to enter... and so on and so forth... Brazil is a great place to relax and have fun. the Great Rio de Janeiro. And Sao PAulo- City that never sleeps. Minas Gerais- Green- Waterfalls, Amazon- our Forrest- Bahia and surrounding city's are know for the best crystal ocean water ever.. Hope you have a chance to visit Brazil I`m sure you are going to have fun.... Make sure when you go to the bar ask for " Caipirinha"- and when you go to Fest Junina around June... You will have the best caipirinha ever!!

  4. Hello Zebbie, I am originally from Brazil although I live in the USA now. There are many festivals, depending on the type of thing you want to do. Beaches are best from October through February and through december there are tons of things - music, food festivals, etc - on the beaches. On New Years Eve there are fire works and African Spirit Callers (transes) at the beach. Throughout July there are food and rodeo festivals in the countryside of Sao Paulo, Minas, and Parana (states). The south of Brazil holds wine festivals throughout July (i.e. in Porto Alegre region). The Northeast parties from December through February, especially the beach areas and they have great seafood). The Pantanal area holds wild nature, bird and alligator watchin throughout July and August. Sao Paulo has cultural stuff like theaters and great restaurants throughout the year. The city of Florianopolis promotes Octoberfest if you are a beer drinker - that is the wildest thing short of carnival. If you really want to get wild, drunk, and party and have s*x paid or free or else, then go there during carnival. Beware of pickpockets and pay safe locker in your hotel room. Have fun and enjoy!

  5. Many different ways to have a great time, many festivals but none as big or as traditional as the good old carnival....some of the other posts mentioned particular ones, overall Brazil is definitely a place to visit anytime of the year.

  6. If you come in October, in a state of the south, called "Santa Catarina" you will find more than 100 beer parties!

German people arrive in Santa Catarina in the beggining of colonization, and the Beer Festival's happen together, in many cities. The most famous is "Octoberfest", about 20 days of party. There are specials pavillions built for this party in Blumenau (famous and beautifful city of SC). During the day, tipical and colourfull cars pass through downtown with pipes of beer, distributing free of charge for the people at the streets! You need to have your own CANECO (the can for the beer).

Similar parties happens in other cities around.

    Kisses!
