I have a lilac bush right next to my bedroom window, and there are chickadees that sit in it and chirp loudly from 4:30 am to about 8 pm every day. I don't mind the birds at all when they are in my backyard (I have a feeder), but it's just the chickadees that make so much noise, and I'd like for them to hang out somewhere else. I know, I COULD just keep my window shut all summer, or get earplugs, but it's too hot, and who wants to wear earplugs all the time?? I just would like something that I could put on the branches to deter those particular birds from perching in the lilac bush that isn't hazardous to them. Please help! Thanks!

  1. A statue of an owl or hawk on the window sill or near the bush should do it.
