like the older Honda magna's? I would like to get a newer bike that has between 750cc to 1100cc with 4 cyclinders. I have never owned a V-twin but I have ridden some friends harleys and don't care for the shake and rattle of them.

  1. Alice, there are MANY bikes made with 3, 4, or 6 cylinders these days, but you may be judging all v-twins unfairly. I recently bought a Yamaha V-Star 1300 (a v-twin), and it is quite a smooth engine... nothing at all like a Harley. (Nothing against Harley's, they are made to vibrate that way) So, don't assume you won't like a v-twin before you sit on it, and feel it while it's running. Most sport bikes have 4 cylinder inline style engines, and if you want a cruiser, the Yamaha Royal Star is a V-4.

  2. u can get a v-8 boss hoss but u will need some muscle to be able to handle one or try finding an old valkarie those were some good looking bikes

  3. Sounds like you rode an older Harley. Newer Harley's and all of the Japanese V-Twins are very smooth. There power delivery is much more forgiving than in-line 4 cylinder bikes. I would rethink my view on the V-Twin if I were you. Try to ride something like a V-Star before you decide.

  4. no real multi-cylinder cruisers other than Yamaha V-Max made anymore
