Are there any nice perennial seeds I can plant now (August)?

I would like some flowers for the side of my house (mostly shady). Does anyone know of something I can plant now that would make it through the winter? I'm in Michigan.

Look to see what seeds are available in your local garden center, right now. They put the seeds out when it is almost time to plant them in the area.
