Are there any non smoking cruise ships any more?

I was on the Paradise a few years ago and it was so nice that it was non smoking and I've heard that that has gone to allow smoking now. I want to go on a cruise again it's been too long but I hate dealing with the smokers.

  1. I understand your dilemma as I do not like the smoke either, however I do love Carnival and its ship may allow smoking but it is very select, it is allowed only on the decks but only on one side of the ship (starboard, right, I think) and the casino allowed it as well as a cigar lounge after that I did not see any.  it was easy to avoid it in the end

  2. NOPE... you can't get away from the smokers and their drug... you can't even watch a movie without someone lighting up in the theatre...

For a non smoker a cruise ship is h**l because you can NOT GET AWAY FROM THE SMOKE.

  3. im sure most ships have areas for smokers only as an non smoker i found it very good the last 3 i was on were non smoking

  4. Sorry.  Apparently the smoke-free did not make money.  RCL has smoke-free rooms.  Most ships have smoke-free areas.  Except in the casinos.

  5. None

Carnival's Paradise was smoke free at one time (*sigh). She was built that way, but poor revenue made the cruise line discontinue that policy a few years ago.

Next spring, the open air around the outdoors of Crystal's ships is going to get a little cleaner smelling. The line today announced plans to ban smoking on stateroom balconies. This is in addition to the places that have been designated as nonsmoking areas for several years, such as in the restaurants and the entertainment lounges.
