Are there any online-high school programs for adults?

I know it sounds silly, please don't make fun of me.

I'm in California, and I passed my High School Equivalence (CHSPE) exam when I was 16-- It is supposed to be the same thing as a diploma. I did it this way, because I got pregnant, yada yada yada.

Now being in college, a lot of classes (MATH especially, English and Science) are a problem for me.

I was wondering if there were any free high school diplomas or high school refresher courses offered online.

I am 21 now---

Once again, this is out of curiosity. Please do not flame or make fun of me.

  1. 1) It is not silly at all!

    2) I think it is great that you are now attending college and you are serious about your studies!

    Here are my thoughts...

It is not all that unusual for entering college freshman to need some remedial courses.

Your college wants you to succeed.

Many if not all colleges have programs in place to help struggling students.

Do you have an academic adviser?  If you do, then seek out their help.  It is very likely that your college already has programs in place that can help you.  If you do not, then go to the Dean's office or Registrar of the school and ask to be pointed in the right direction.

***UPDATE: Not sure why "track_star" copy / pasted my answer.  Weird and lame.  But I guess imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
