Are there any opportunities in organizations such as the Peace Corps. for accounting majors?

Sure  - both ways. PC HQ in Washington uses accountants, just like any organization bigger than a Girl Scout troop does. You'd have the opportunity to translate budgets and expenses from currencies no one in your class had ever heard of.

There is a constant demand for PCV's who can teach accounting to business people in countries that are either developing or emerging from communism, too.
