  1. try air africa, it is cheap, also go to www.expedia.com and check it there

    have fun in africa :)

  2. if you are from Uk and under 25 try STAtravel...They are purely for students (under 25 qualifies) and can often get a great deals! Especially if you walk into a shop as face to face you can chat more and be friendly and they will go out of their way to help (did for me anyway) :)

  3. All depends where you're from, if you're from the US you could try to join the Peace Corps, but of course you won't be able to choose where you're sent to, and their choice is final, so you may end up somewhere completely different to where you want to go. If you're from the UK or anywhere, you could try asking some aid agencies or charities if they're looking for any volunteers, but the chances are low.

Also, what do you consider budget prices? If you look about you should be able to get a resonablely priced flight to South Africa, however, it won't be dirt cheap, you're still looking in the region of £500 ($1000) minimum, if you're not too picky when you go. It won't be too expensive once you get there if you spend your money wisely and are careful not to get taken in by scams or over charging.
