  1. Ask the hospital and the school you are involved in - they would best know your area, it's services and your child.


  2. Yes, your school's homebound services is intended for exactly this situation.  Call central office and ask for information about how to have the child placed on homebound.

    If hospitalized in a larger hospital, such as a university hospital, they will have educational services.

  3. As mentioned, the school's homebound services should work. Even children who are placed in the hospital for extended lengths of time are eligible for tutoring from the public school system, along with all the books.
