  1. Sure. Meal worms, wax worms (although these are fatty, so not as often as the others)..

When they're adults they may even eat pinky mice, locusts, cockroaches, earthworms...

Do a google search of "bearded dragons diet" and you'll get loads of information about the different insects, fruits and veggies that beardies eat and when they can eat them.

EDIT:  How old is the beardie? If he's an older juvenile, I don't think it will be a problem, although if you'd rather not that's understandable as well. I've never seen a beardie suffer from it, myself, but there's debate about it. They shouldn't be fed in excess, of course.

Here's a forum with some good points of view on the subject.

You can also give them phoenix worms if you don't want to risk mealworms (bearded dragons tend to love meal worms, too, and can get a bit spoiled on them).

  2. Mealworms and waxworms(waxworms are treats only!)

  3. Silkworms are the next best thing, they love them plus much healthier than mealworms. They can also safely have woodies (cockroaches).

Mealworms can be fed but it's best to wait until they 'moult' when their shell is much softer. They should only be fed occasionly though, like the waxworm.

Its best just to stick with crickets and cockroaches, plus the daily greens. Good luck. =)

  4. yea, you can give them wax worms, silk worms, superworms. Wax worms are great and beardies love em.
