"Obama doesn't have the experience to lead the nation or be commander in chief" [but having a VP whose major experience is as mayor of a one-horse town in the middle of nowhere in one of the country's least populous states is an exception...totally relevant to commanding the US armed forces]
"People only support Obama because he's black" [but it's ok to pick a woman only because her gender might attract some female independents]
"Obama's 'portfolio' is too thin" [but I guess it's OK if there is no portfolio at all]
"Obama should have picked as VP the candidate that came in second" [but McCain doesn't have to].
"nobody even knows anything about Obama" [cricket, cricket]
And before the righties tee off on me, let me just say that I stand by my original assertion that experience isn't the most important thing, and that just because somebody is attractive or popular doesn't mean they aren't qualified....I'm just pointing out that when the shoe is on the other foot, your standards seem to change very quickly.
