Are there any other forms of valid ID, Besides Passport or Drivers Licence? (UK)?

I am going on a trip where I will need access to bars and clubs. I'm cursed with a youthful face, and the fact that my passport was stolen (And expired)...And I don't fancy having to shell out £100+ for a passport, or £50 for a drivers lisence (Which is even more unecessary, as I don't drive or intend to learn in the near future.)

Are there any other forms of universally acceptable ID, which are less expensive? I can't afford to get to the other end of the country to be declined from a club and have to spend the night on my own.

  1. If you can afford to go out on the booze, then yo can afford to re apply fo a passport.

  2. If you're leaving the UK you MUST have a valid passport anyway.  If not, there may be an id system in the UK similar to what we have in the US.  It is issued through the same division that issues driver's licenses and is simply proof of identity within the country.
