Are there any other great authors besides Patricia Cornwell that I may like?

I have read all her books, and I need something to read. I like James Patterson and the lady who writes the "H for Homicide" "K for Killer" books, (her name slipped my mind). Who else is good?! Thanks!

  1. You mean Sue Grafton. Depends on how procedural as opposed to cozy that you like your mysteries.  Some of my favorites include:   Susan Albert Wittig,  Donna Andrews,  Nevada Barr,  Mary Daheim Alpine series, Earlene Fowler, Elizabeth Gunn, Carolyn Hart Henry O, Sue Henry, Tony Hillerman, JA Jance Joanna Brady, Craig Johnson, Faye Kellerman, Michael McGarrity, Dana Stabenow, C.J. Box.  I just began reading Lee Child, Frederick Ramsay Margarot Maron and Margaret Coel.   Batya Gur wrote some wonderful mysteries about Jerusalem that I enjoyed but have to laugh at one of the reviews on Amazon where a woman said that she believes she was put on this earth to attempt to read one of those books and to try to make people not do it.  They are very high brow and upscale which was a bit over my head but the main character is one of my favorite in all of my heroes in my books.  So much to read, so little time!!!!

  2. karin slaughter

    kathy reichs

    lisa gardner

  3. Sue Grafton writes those A for, B for novels. but to answer your question, I would suggest Tess Gerritson (SP?) she writes crime/medical novels like Cornwell. You may also look into Robin Cook if you like the medical mystery genre.

Maybe you could even look into Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. Their older books (Cabinet of Couriosities and Brimstone) deal with mysterious murders and medical mysteries.
