  1. most of the ppl that answered are right, wax worms and mice are pretty much the only other thing besides crickets and mealworms. dont feed mice to young leos though, no duhh. outdoor bugs are no good, they could be poisonous or sprayed with bad substances.

  2. Waxworms are really fat mealworms that are so good to reptiles so they're good. Watch out they bite though.

Another option if you have the stomach.I heard you can feed really big leapard geckos mice or pinkies(frozen and dehaired mice babies.)

  3. wild insects arent good as they may give your gecko parasites,or may have been zapped with bug killer or something like that, as for bought livefood you can feed roaches, crickets, mealies, locusts, waxworms very rarely as they are incredibly fattening and can lead to your gecko refusing all other foods, pinkies are highly debated as to wether geckos can digest the bones properly

  4. First of all, a variety of everything is always a good way to go!

You can feed adult leopard geckos, small pinkys (little mice), and or silkworms.

Wild insects are not a good idea at all: You do not know where they have been, whether they carry any parasites or worse poisons from people's lawns. I would not get wild insects just for the health and safety of your gecko.

I've heard some people feed them grasshoppers but I am not sure about that nor do I recommend it.

  5. waxworms and butterworms

  6. you can feed them wax worms.

  7. wax worms are ur only other choice wild insect may have pestisides in them and can kill your gecko dont try it.

  8. Waxworms-Used for breeding purposes or to fatten up youngsters, Extremely fattening so should only be given a few every once in a while

Pinky Mice- Should only be fed to fully grown leos that are at least 8 inches long.

Silkworms-Even though difficult to find they make excellet treats and leos lovem.!!

Phoenix Worms- Found these in an ad in Reptiles Magazine. They say instead of dusting them with calcium they were specially bred to have high levels of natural calcium in them so no calcium dust is need. Heres the link for the site: http://www.phoenixworm.com/servlet/Store...

  9. its not good to give your leo wild insects because the bugs eat pesticides in the wild and these will kill your gecko.
