I graduated high school, I also did a semester of college recently. I was in a situation where I had no choice but to drop out, so please don't judge me. Anyway, I can't get a job. All my life since the age of 18 I've tried and employers refuse to hire me. Employers tell me that I don't need a job, I need government assistence (besically tellin me I'm retarded) and then family, wellfare, and everybody else tell me that I'm lazy. I've had a hard time in school. I can read words correctly, but sometimes I have trouble comprehending the meaning of what's written, especailly if it's a novel and the author strays from the story and takes a moment to express a complexed thought. That's why I hate to read. Reading comprehension aint (yeah I said "aint", f*** you) even a problem compared to my math skills, I barely know basic multiplication. Employers don't know this about me, it's not like I tell them all my flaws or anything, I'm very polite and I'll keep in mind to talk proper to them. I try to be as confident as possible, but I get nervous and start stuttering and taking long pauses. When I feel like I'm being judged (and basically that's what happens at a job interview), my mind goes blank and I don't know what to say, and then what I do say sounds like mixed up jibberish, lol. So I was wondering if I am alone or not with these problems and maybe somebody might have some advice. I'm 25 and never had a job in my life, but I need one. I don't wanna depened on an SSI check that's hard to obtain and qualify for anyway.

  1. Have you contacted the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation in your area? They should be in your phone book. They are often a big help to people with these types of problems.
