  1. Anaheim Disneyland has none as Walt saw a cowboy from frontierland in tomorrowland (destroying the atmosphere) and this upset him, combined with practicalities such as rubbish collection- hense the idea of utilidors was invented!

Like you I know that the Magic Kingdom(the part open to guests) at Florida is actually the second floor, 14 feet above its original elevation (ground level being the utilidors) parts of Fantasyland(where the hub of the utilidors are located) and Cinderelllas castle are actually a third level, the slope is so graduate guests dont realise.

The Utilidors are built on nine acres, and the floor plan resembles a wheel with spokes. The hub lies beneath Cinderella's castle; tunnels to all the other lands branch out from this central location. The walls of the tunnels are color-coded, to make it simple for cast members to tell which land they are in. The Utilidors can be accessed from a main tunnel entrance located behind Fantasyland, or through various unmarked doors located throughout the Magic Kingdom. All magic kingdom cast members park about one mile away and are transported via a Disney bus to the tunnel. Some shops, restaurants and attractions have direct access to the Utilidors

I would love to know if any of the other parks have utilidors.

I dont think Paris has them as I have snuck a sneaky glimpse of backstage and costume stores! i really wish i could work there!!!!

*MGM does not need them because they have nothing to hide there. It's a "working movie lot" and thus, anyone you see is appropriate for any area. The guest is already "backstage".

*EPCOT does not have them because it was designed properly. If you take the Backstage Magic tour, you can see this. Once you get behind The Living Seas, you can take a road all the way around the park, back to Universe of Energy. There is a road that runs a loop around the park, and thus there is no need to cross the park to get anywhere to work - except for cast members who work in Innoventions, Spaceship Earth, and some misc gift shops - they simply walk the short distance from a backstage gate to their working spot. Since they're all in Futureworld, their costumes really don't clash or ruin the atmosphere.

*Animal Kingdom is similar to EPCOT in that most of the attractions and major working spots are located on the perimeter, at least the Cast Member entrances are. There is also a road that runs around the entire park, thus allowing access to all points. And again, cast members who work in non-perimeter locations, they simply walk from the nearest backstage gate.

  2. Only Magic Kingdom (at WDW) has utilidors.  Epcot has a few underground spaces, but they don't interconnect, and they are nothing like the Utilidors at the Magic Kingdom.

If you get the chance, take the "Keys to the Kingdom" tour -- you'll actually get to wander around some of the utilidors at MK...it's awesome!
