  1. LSDAS (Law School Data Assembly Service, responsible for administration of the LSAT), will charge you a fee to change your test date.  The fee is currently $33, but does change often so you may want to check up on this.

    As for a penalty on the test or during the law school admissions process, there isn't one.  The only penalty you will have is paying the "Test Date Change" fee charged by LSDAS.
