  1. I'd say Yes!  I'm a vegetarian because meat clogs up my arteries!  I'm almost vegan!

  2. Yeah, my friend stevie is because she has Chron's disease.

  3. I went vegetarian because I stopped being able to properly digest meat after I turned 30.  There were times when consuming it meant quite a long time on the toilet in agony while my digestive system protested mightily what I had put into it.  One day I got so disgusted with this meat I was eating I decided to go vegetarian.

I went vegan when I found out about the dairy-veal connection and the cruelty inflicted on hens who are kept for their eggs.

    So, in a sense, yes.

  4. you mate should be hung from a very high tree

  5. YES. I'm a vegan for past 7 years. After being a vegan for few month, i switched back to meat eating . My body could not tolerate to meat. Thus i decided to stick to veganism until now.

  6. Yes.

I have developed allergies to meat.

Ate it for 35 odd years and then developed (life threatening) reactions to meat.

Plus it makes my Crohns Disease worse.

    .

  7. Unless your body is missing some key enzymes and acids in your stomach, meat and eggs should digest without a problem.  Overall though, only dairy can believably be said to be incapable of breaking down, in part anyway, in the human body. Dairy has lactose, which 70% of the world's population cannot digest since people lack the enzyme needed to break down this type of sugar. However, Western countries prolong the consumption of dairy products past childhood, and don't really wean like other mammals but start to eat the milk of cows and goats and whatever else people are milking now... so their bodies might still maintain the enzyme levels needed to break down lactose.

Egg and dairy allergies are really common so that is possible. While human beings very, VERY rarely have allergic reactions to meat, the deposits in the tissue (like environmental toxins, or something reflective of the animal's diet) might cause an allergic reaction. Some illnesses, like IBS or types of ulceritis, can be aggravated in some individuals (and quite seriously) by eating meat, especially fattier cuts of meat.

I have never read a case study or heard of someone that is allergic to all kinds of animal meat, dairy AND eggs. I have read isolated studies of corn-fed chicken causing allergic reactions, of native tribes in certain countries that are all allergic to beef, or even allergies to land mammals (for whatever reason). I don't think it's very likely.

Besides, veganism is beyond diet, it incorporates avoiding wearing leather and making eco-friendly, responsible purchases, not supporting animal testing, etc. If someone just ate a vegan diet, they're just a very strict vegetarian, because veganism goes beyond diet.

  8. I'd always thought it was because their taste buds couldn't break down their principles.

  9. that is part of it.  Dairy hurts in more places than one.  I don't even want to know what meat would do to me, yikes.

  10. No, there aren't. What part of the "animal product" can't they, supposedly, break down? Humans can digest meat. If a Dr. tells you that you cannot digest meat, I'd suggest seeing a better Dr.

I'm not saying people should or shouldn't eat meat. All I'm saying is humans can digest meat and no amount of time between instances can change our physiology. That's like saying if you don't have s*x for a year your genitals stop working. Muscles atrophy, stomachs do not.

  11. Yes.

  12. Partly yes. Not really because they can't "breakdown" the animal products but most likely they can't easily "break" it down. Some became vegan because it's harder for them to digest the animal meat as well as the animal products. Some also went vegan for the reason that they are allergic to animal products like milk and cheeses.

  13. not exactly that but, i decided to stay away from meat-i would only eat it if i was invytd out and thats all there was-and about a week later that hapnd exactly. I was fine while i was eating but when i got home i had severe stomach cramps and i ***** kp it dwn.

Docta said my body got use to not breaking down meat and thats why i got sick..

    so ye thats my story

  14. Well not entirely it was because of the animals that I went vegan but I have not gotten sick almost everyday like I used to.
