  1. People in Greece and Turkey care.  I don't think anyone else does.

    BUT - the problem complicates some other unrelated issues, such as whether to allow Turkey to become a member of NATO.  So the Europeans and the US have to concern themselves with a problem that they otherwise really don't care about.
