This is how much the Seminoles were paid for the lands taken illegally(by u.s. laws even), this is what was pushed on them in the 1980's not the 1880's , I mean 20 years ago.

They didnt have a choice because we all know what the states do to natives that oppose the states.GENOCIDE.

This is an action of the u.s. take the bad with the good .Denial is the first sign of a problem right?

I must also add that there are and have always been Seminoles that oppose occupation, and to this day remain in the Everglades defiant of the u.s. decree that the natives be pushed west.

the small minority that does benefit from casino profits are seen by the majority as a public relations TOOL to cover the tracks of jackson and his illegal actions.

  1. At least they got fifteen cents an acre.  They probably would have sold it on the open market for some pretty beads and a bottle of firewater.

  2. In the 1980's, the Seminoles were already on Reservations in Florida and no land was taken, it was taken in the 1800's, get your facts right

Well those natives needed to leave Florida, they killed and raped hundreds of innocent civillians and took hundreds more as slaves, they burned towns and villages across Florida.

The Seminoles were forced off the land in the 1800's and they had the most important treaties signed then( important i mean those treaties had them move to the west or on reservations)

You do know that there are less than 5,000 seminoles left right? and most of them live in the west right? and the Everglades are virtually uninhabited, except for a few hundred right? and most Seminole tribes in Florida are located in Central Florida not the Everglades right?

All native tribes gain money from gambling

The Seminoles were not pushed off their land in the 1980's, if there were  the UN would of put sanctions on the USA and all that other stuff they do to stuff like that, peacekeepers being deployed, etc.,

They were pushed off the land after the Seminole Indian War in the 1820's and sent to Modern Oklahoma then

  3. You know the funny thing about people talking about the Native Americans selling the land for beads? The Europeans BOUGHT IT FROM THE WRONG TRIBE. They bought it from a tribe that was FISHING off the coast. Well that tribe had permission to fish there and took advantage of the Europeans by agreeing to sell that land. The Europeans then had to buy the land from the tribe that REALLY owned it, for a higher price, and lost the money to the original sellers. NOW who's stupid? That's why we don't learn the real history. I mean there isn't much we can do about our Govt and their actions. Sure I think the land should have stayed in the Seminole's hands.
