  1. Belladonna or Deadly Nightshade can cause hallucinations (or death) , it's association with witchcraft likely stems from this.  Peyote (Divine Cactus) from the united stated is a hallucinogen with ritual uses. Common nutmeg spice is a hallucinogen, albeit an unpleasant one.

I've heard people in the Middle Ages would combine belladonna, monkshood and wormwood. It's likely that in combination the psychedelic effects were more stable. They are all quite toxic.

Rye grain infected with ergot fungus can contain LSD. Apparently the high is like "one part psychosis, two parts gangrenous sores." : )

  2. There are lots.

search 'ayuasca' on wiki or gooogle, this is a combination of plants and roots.

Ergot is what the other person was on about but it's just very similar to LSD, basically Albert Hoffman (sad day yesterday he passed away yesterday at 102yrs old, the inventor of lsd) Attained lsd from Ergot, a fungus growing on Rye that he himself changed slightly. Ergot is in itself dangerous and can kill.

Check out Erowid or a seller like Spiritgarden to find out what's out there.

Closest other is LSA found in Morning glory seeds.
