I just watched a special with Diane Sawyer on global warming. There were several things that were reported but lowering your thermostat in your house by 2 degrees is one. And if people drove hybrid cars, because they don't have the emission that gasoline motors have.

Lots of plantation and vise use of water can slow down the process of global warming.  On a large scale - by government or such bodies i think pumping of sea water on vaste idel land also can help on reducing warming.

one of the very important factor is slowing down manufacturing of any types of machines... by making very durable machines, electronic items or any such thing instead of producing "one time use" goods

I would say use your car as little as possible,more bike riding, take the Trolley or train.

use solar cells to recharge batteries,a small solar cell must cost about 30$

buy rechargeable batteries.
