Are there any problems flying into Cuba from Cancun?

I'm an American and will be flying in from Cancun. Do the locals embrace the American tourists there? Thanks!!!

  1. A couple of things, no American credit cards accepted there, (bring cash and exchange for cuban money) don't let them stamp your passport and the US Government frowns at US citizens spending money in Cuba as a tourist. If you get caught, you will pay big fines.

They aren't very fond of Americans because of the things we say about them, but I'm sure they are kind and gracious in return to anyone who is kind to them.  I know some people who go over there every year around this time, and they say it is great.  Just remember that American money is illegal.  Have a good trip.  :)
