  1. Exactly what do you mean by re-establish?

    The Berbers or Amazighs have never left the mountainous region of Morocco and their culture has not changed nearly as much as that of the Arabs and Moors who live in the low lands.  Although many of the Berbers have moved and been assimilated into the lowland culture, some remain unchanged.

    Although the official language has been Arabic, Berber dialects are being added.  French is only used for diplomacy and international business.

    Jewish culture in Morocco is very old, starting with the exodus of Spanish Jews as early as 1391.  At this time is their community is relatively small, consisting of about 3500 people.  Perhaps of the first time in 500 years of separatist philosophy, attempts are being made to interact with the rest of the local citizens.

    The Internet allows sharing of traditional Jewish recipes from different locations with people from all over the world.
