  1. It's better if you think of some other way of comforting the family. People who've just had a suicide in the family don't necessarily want their child's recent death and life mistakes posted on a website that everyone can see. Ask for their permission first if you still want to create the website.

  2. try looking at http://www.translaten.com

  3. “I have found that if you love life, life will love you back.” - Arthur Rubinstein

“Life's challenges are not supposed to paralyze you, they're supposed to help you discover who you are.” - Bernice Johnson Reagon

“Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.” - Confucius

  4. I'm a surviver of suicidal attempt. There are too many types of quotes due to people's lifestyles so I can't give you any specific ones unless more detail is mentioned other than...someone's son committed suicide.

  5. maybe you could use something like this

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be.

So He put His arms around you and whispered “come to me.”

With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away.

Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

  6. My brother just killed himself last month and we are heartbroken. I love your idea for a website. You should ask his family first and make sure they are ok with it. As for us, we would love for the world to know. There are no secrets any more. It was partly secrecy that led to this anyway because my brother's wife was ashamed of his illness and did not want him to see a doctor or psychiatrist. He loved her so much and would not go against her wishes. So he got sicker and sicker. Then his wife and grown daughter started treating him very mean, probably thinking they could shame him out of being sick. But what happened is that he could not just "snap out of it" and so he was trapped. Could not get help or she would divorce him, could not feel better. So he killed himself. It's abuse when someone mistreats a sick person like they did! Anyway, our family would love a website for my brother so we could tell the world that mental illness is something that should be handled by a doctor and that you do NOT mistreat a person with deep depression because they just can't handle it.

For my brother the depression started following a job loss and it spiraled downward very quickly. From the end of May until he shot himself in July. God, it is so sad and was so unnecessary. If the wife would not have stood in the way, he could be in a hospital now getting better instead of laying in a grave.

Thanks for letting me vent. I just think when someone feels bad enough to kill themselves, and their story will help anyone else then it's worth it to reveal.

By the way, you are a nice person for helping out this poor family.

The ideas that give us the most comfort are that my brother is not suffering any more and that he is in a better place. Its not much comfort, but a little.
