"Through tatter'd clothes small vices do appear;
Robes and furr'd gowns hide all. Plate sin with gold,
And the strong lance of justice hurtless breaks;
Arm it in rags, a pigmy's straw does pierce it."
That is the exact quote, though I've paraphrased it, and this is what I got:
Crimes committed by the poor are noticed more than crimes committed by the wealthy. If you have the money, you can corrupt the legal system, and get out of punishment. Those without said money cannot do so, thus, the justice system is biased against the poor.
Now, what I need from you all are real life examples of how people with money do things and get away with it. I could probably be hypothetical or search for similar cases in which people were found guilty. One big one I can think of is the OJ Simpson trial. I need three, though. Please help!
